ASSETS at the International Sociological Union conference in Rabat, Morocco

Representing the ASSETS Project, the team from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki took part in the International Sociological Association (ISA) Forum in Rabat, Morocco (6–11 July 2025), where they delivered a presentation on social innovation in workplaces and the pathways through which such innovation can be recognised, sustained, and formalised.

Their presentation marked an initial step toward a broader investigation of workplace conditions within the social economy, a central objective of the ASSETS Project. By exploring how social innovation emerges and becomes institutionalised across different organisational contexts, they laid the foundation for analysing the enabling and limiting factors that shape work experiences, job quality, and inclusive practices in social enterprises and solidarity-based initiatives.

Through this contribution, they aim to support the ASSETS Project’s wider effort to examine how organisational structures, values, and policy environments influence the sustainability and scalability of socially innovative practices, particularly in sectors focused on equity, participation, and community impact.
