Measuring and Communicating Social Impact in the Non-Profit Sector

On 8 October 2026, ASSETS partner UNIBZ hosted a public dissemination event in Bolzano under the title “What is the value of the Third Sector?” The event brought together local stakeholders, practitioners and researchers to explore how non-profit organisations contribute to social inclusion, solidarity networks and the common good and how these outcomes can be effectively measured and communicated.

Connecting Research to Practice

The event provided an opportunity for UNIBZ to present their work within the ASSETS project and engage with local stakeholders on questions of social impact and third sector value. The discussions highlighted the relevance of robust, accessible impact measurement frameworks for third sector organisations operating at the local level.

Why This Matters

Non-profit and social economy organisations play a vital role in communities across Europe, yet measuring and communicating their impact remains a persistent challenge. Events like this one help bridge the gap between research and practice, bringing ASSETS findings closer to the actors who can benefit from them most.

Many thanks to UNIBZ for organising this event and for their continued commitment to disseminating the project’s work.
