The ASSETS Project at the Social Economy European Summit
The ASSETS project was presented at the Social Economy European Summit 2025 during the session “Meeting on Research and Innovation in the Social Economy Ecosystem.”
This session brought together four Horizon Europe projects currently advancing research and innovation in the Social Economy: ASSETS, DICES, EMCCINNO and WISESHIFT. Representing ASSETS, Nerea Abad Itoiz, researcher at UNED – Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and member of the project’s Spanish research team, highlighted ASSETS’ expected contributions to Social Economy practice and policymaking.
During the presentation, Nerea outlined the project’s approach and process, emphasising how different actors and individuals can engage with or collaborate on ASSETS’ activities.
A space for dialogue and collaboration
The session provided a dynamic and enriching environment for exchanging views on the challenges and opportunities faced by research in the Social Economy field. Contributions from both academia and practice underscored the importance of collaboration across sectors in shaping more inclusive and evidence-based policies.
Strengthening the Social Economy ecosystem
By working together and building on each other’s efforts, the Horizon Europe projects featured in this session are contributing to the development of a stronger and more interconnected Social Economy ecosystem.
